***
One of the Service Unions has brought to the notice of this office that there is inordinate delay in payment of benefits due to certain Grameen Dak Sewaks who were discharged from the service on completion of 65 years of age. The delay is said to be due to non-collection of requisite forms from such of the GDSs, well in advance to their date of discharge.
Therefore, I am directed to request you to instruct the Divisions under your control to initiate action to collect the forms, documents required for processing the proposals for payment of Gratuity etc., before due date of discharge and ensure prompt submission to the sanctioning authority to ensure timely payment.
I am further directed to request all the Heads of the Divisions / Units in Hyderabad City Region to take similar action on the lines suggested in para (2) above to eliminate delays in payment of benefits.
