The Panchayat Chillakur under Pellakur Sub Post Office has been adopted by the Hon'ble Member of Parliament Shri V.Vara Prasada Rao as a matter of policy of the Government as an "Sansad Adarsh Gram"
Our Postal Superintendent Shir Y.Raju has taken steps to implement the scheme "Rural Postal Life Insurance" to all the house holds of the Village. A campaign has been made by the divisional administration to encourage the people of the village and got succeeded by procuring 90% of house holds covered under the scheme.
On this occassion a programme has been organized in Chillakur village on 02-12-2017 by inviting Hon'ble MP Shri V. Vara Prasadarao along with Hon'ble MLA, Sullurupet Shri K.Sanjeevaiah and other local leaders viz., Sarpanch and MPP to inspire the people to get the benefit of the postal schemes which are available in the vicinity of the village post offices.
Shri Y.Raju, SPOs has explained about the postal savings & Insurance schemes available in the Post offices and elaborated their importance to the rural public.
Hon'ble MP & MLA praised the services of postal department and its products in their valuable message to the people of Chillakur village and asked to take part in the services of postal department.
ASP and IPs Shri Anil Kumar, Shri Y.Gurunadharao, Shri Naga malleswararao, Shri Madan Mohan from Administration side including Shri Rajarathnam, Shri Ranjit Kumar (Mail Overseers) and the BPMs, GDS and Postal staff of Sullurpet subdivision also participated in the meeting.
Sri S.Chandra Sekhar, SPM, Pellakur and his team made all arrangements to make the success of the progamme.
