Commemorative Singapore-India Joint

SINGAPORE, 23 November 2015 – Singapore Post Limited (SingPost) will release a commemorative Singapore-India joint stamp issue on 24 November 2015. The stamp issue will be jointly launched by Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Istana during the official visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Singapore from 23 to 24 November 2015.
Prime Minister Modi's visit commemorates the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Singapore and India this year.
Singapore and India enjoy excellent bilateral relationships with each other with frequent and active interaction through different platforms that allow both countries to exchange views on many issues of common concerns. The cooperation covers multiple areas in economic, commercial and culture. These collaborations have been fruitful and beneficial for both countries and the ties of both countries continue to grow from strength to strength over the years.
Depicted in this joint stamp issue are the presidential residences of both countries – The Istana of Singapore and Rashtrapati Bhavan of India.
