Postal department to launch savings scheme
The Department of Posts will be launching the savings scheme ‘Ponmagan Podhuvaippu Nidhi’ for male children below the age of 10 at Puducherry on Monday.
The scheme will be launched at the Pondicherry Head Office Post Office and Sri Aurobindo Ashram Post Office on Monday, while it will be launched at Villupuram Head Office on Tuesday and at the Tindivanam Head Office and Gingee MDG on Wednesday.
The scheme is targeted at the middle and lower income group, said a release from the Department of Posts.
The scheme follows the success of the Sukhanya Samriddhi Account for girls.
