Com.R.Seethalakshmi passed away (today evening - 01-08-2020)
Com.R.Seethalakshmi, Former General Secretary, AIPEU Postmen & MTS & Former Deputy Secretary General, NFPE, Former Vice-President, Confederation of CG Emp & Workers, Former Convener, Women's Committee, CCGEW passed away today evening.
It is informed that she became sick few weeks back and admitted in the hospital with serious illness. Today evening Com.Seetha lost her breath at the residence in Bangalore.
Madam started her career in Postal Department as GDSBPM and promoted to Departmental cadre as Post women and retired as Post women.
Com.Seethalakshmi is a principled disciple of Com. Adinarayana and lovable to all Leaders not only in NFPE but also by many other organizations in the State and Nation as well.
In their life Madam achieved many goals with commitment, dedication & loyalty besides non-controversial with her approach according to the situation.
We can not forget the services of Com.Seethalakshmi to the P4 Union & NFPE unions. Madam visited our Gudur Division number of times and very familiar to our Divisional members.
As a General Secretary, Com. Seethalakshmi recognized the militancy and dedication of our Gudur Division NFPE, extended all cooperation to our Division, thus, particularly, one of our P4 Comrades elevated to the post of Asst. General Secretary, P4 CHQ.
Particularly, Madam is fond of GDS and helped personally, too many in the Circle, which is ever grateful.
We lost a good leader, coordinator & guide to our NFPE Union. In respect of Madam, we dip our banner.
Shed with tears, deep sense of grief, mourning to the departed soul of Com.R.Seethalakshmi. Condolences to the bereaved family members.
We pray for the eternal peace to the departed soul.

Very sad News : Com. R.Sivannarayana passed away today (26-07-2020) in Guntur
It is very much painful to inform that Com. Ravi Sivannarayana (Guntur) ex All India President Group'C' union demised today afternoon due to Cancer. Since 2 months he is taking treatment at Appolo Chennai. He is very close associate to Gudur division .
Every Gudur divl conference has been addressed by him.
He is an All India office bearer in different capacities served for a long time. He helped the General Secretary in compiling and releasing yearly dairies,Ventures and also assisted in GDS issues at All India level.
He is my family friend also.
I Pray God to give courage to his family members.
On behalf of Gudur division our deepest condolences to his family members.
May his soul rest in peace.

Governor Koshyari donates 1 lakh for Postal Staff affected by Covid - 19
Amount includes prize money from letter writing competition and personal contribution*
Maharashtra Governor Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari today made a personal donation of Rs.1 lakh to the Maharashtra Posts for the treatment of the postal staff affected by the Corona virus Disease, Covid – 19.
A cheque of Rs. One Lakh addressed to the ‘Maharashtra Postal Circle Welfare Fund’ was handed over by the Governor to the Chief Post Master General of Maharashtra Harish Chandra Agarwal at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai on Tuesday (23 June).
Assistant Post Master Shrinivas Vyavahare was also present.
The amount of Rs. 1 lakh includes the sum of Rs.25000 received by the Governor as Prize money from the department of posts and his personal contribution of Rs.75000.
The Governor had won the first prize in the letter writing competition for his essay in Hindi ‘Bapu, Aap Amar Hai’
The letter writing competition was organised by the Department of Posts on the occasion of the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
The competition, named ‘Dhai Akhar’ was held in November 2019 in Inland Letter and Envelope category for participants below 18 years and above 18 years of age.
According to the officials of Posts, more than 80000 participants had taken part in the competition held to promote the culture of letter writing.

The following statement was issued by the Central Trade Unions on 19th June,2020
The Central Trade Unions extend full support to the 3 days Strike of Coal Workers
The Central Trade Unions extend full support to the Strike call given by all Unions and Federations active in the coal industry in all places of activities in the coal sector for three days on 2nd,3rd,and 4th July 2020. The Unions/Federations have served the strike notice on 18th June 2020. We congratulate them for organizing the protest simultaneously while serving the strike notice on 18th June to the respective managements.
Their two day protest on 10th and 11th June 2020 did not deter the Government to review its decision of commercial mining, privatization and decision to de-link CMPDI from CIL among other demands .Rather Prime Minister himself came forward to launch the process of auction on 18th June, which was announced on 11th June, hence the decision of unions to choose this day to protest and give strike notice.
The fact of the matter is that even the earlier auctioned and allotted coal blocks could not be started as per schedule period which need to be cancelled immediately.
The unions have raised five demands in:
1. Withdraw the decision of Commercial Mining in Coal Industry
2. Stop all steps towards weakening or privatization of CIL or SCCL
3. Withdraw decision to De-link CMPDIL from CIL
4. Enforce HPC/CIL enhanced wages to contract workers in CIL and SCCL
5. Implement the clause 9.3.0, 9.4.0 and 9.5.0 of National Coal Wage Agreement
The Coal unions and the CTUs have been opposing the Government policy of 100 percent FDI in Coal sector. We call upon all our respective state chapters to extend their solidarity support to this agitation to defend this core public sector in the national interest and for our nation’s self reliance in this sector.
